Hypocrisy in a picture
Well my recent emailed newsletter arrived today with glaring hypocrisy of PeTA yet again.
The message was: "...to help a special group of neglected and suffering dogs—those who are kept chained or penned outdoors. They lack adequate space to move around, and they are deprived of water, shade, and medical care in times of injury and illness".
ON the surface it seems like a noble thing to do. Something regular Joe Blow citizen would be happy to dish out his hard earned bucks for and perhaps be conned into giving it to PeTA. Save your money folks. PeTA destroys more animals each year than the SPCA. Also, look at the pic. Is that not a pit bull? The same breed that PeTA wants eliminated? Interesting isn't it. They find a picture of an abused dog to scam money from you knowing full well that it is a breed they are trying to eliminate. PeTA is behind all anti pitbull laws so why use this photo? Because it is sensational and heartwrenching and will get more suckers to send them their hard earned dollars.
For the record I don't think pitbulls are evil. It is the owners that make them that way. I have met vicious pit bulls and very friendly ones, almost sucky friendly. Why blame the breed? The most vicious dog I ever met was a black lab that had been trained to be a guard dog. Labs are usually one of the most friendly, easy going breeds but this one had been made to be ugly. To top it off its name was Mandy!! Cute.
So folks before you send your hard earned cash to these scam artists ask them EXACTLY what they will do with the money. Ask them how many animals they put down each year and then ask them if they will save any pitbulls with their program.
