I have been busy cooking steaks!!
:-)
Had some cartoons emailed to me and the artist Charles Somerville has granted me permission to post them. I hope you enjoy them. More on Charles can be found here:
Charles and his work

This one is a great one to toss back at the Petards!

I have also heard rumors that Charles Manson was a vegan. I guess lack of meat can make people a bit wonky!

The latest PETA newsletter is full of their usual BS about the meat industry being devastating to the world. Keep in mind that mass produced ANYTHING will use up a lot of resources. Processing veggies, soy etc uses up water, land and all the other things so we can make our lives easier while we feed ourselves.

Check this piece of excrement they spout:
" that animals raised for food generate more greenhouse gases than all cars and trucks combined, and that (according to a recent University of Chicago study), switching to a vegan diet is more effective in countering global warming than switching from a standard American car to a Prius"
Is that so? I assume they are referring to livestock which are vegan animals. Eating plants often produces a lot more gas (methane) than meat. Therefore if we all switched to a vegan diet we would all be tooting out gas anyway.

In another section they offered to cook up some some faux "fried chicken" as an introduction to meat-free meals for Al Gore.
Read that again, faux "fried chicken" .
Hmm, if meat is so bad why do veg-heads always try to make meals that taste like meat? It just screams denial and hypocrisy. If you need to have the flavor of meat then eat meat you freaks.
Anyone ever make some faux veggies? Their beef this time? Lobsters!! Live ones to be exact.
According to PETA live lobster is a cruel way to feed us. Now all you can get at Raleys is packaged or frozen ones. Here comes more processed food and more trouble down the line, not to mention a lack of freshness.
I urge all to write to Raleys and inform them of their mistake and that you will not let this go quietly.
We all know how the Petards work. It had their usual fuzzy, feel good crap about saving all animals and went on about how leather, wool etc are bad. Never mind they are efficient materials for clothing that out last any man-made stuff.
This quote from the PETA2 street team propaganda:

"With so many lovely and warm faux fur, leather, and wool clothing options available at almost every major retailer, there's simply no reason not to buy cruelty-free gifts this Christmas."

First off, lovely and faux should not be in the same sentence but then a thought came to me. What do all these fake, plasticy, static charge building, quick to wear out, crappy materials have in common? They are all synthetic and made from a petroleum base.
Could the big oil companies be helping PETA to increase business? They don't get as much fuel sales from the leather, wool and fur producers so it makes sense that they would back disposable garbage material like the ones the Petards are pushing. Garbage that not only has to be shipped more often due to its shorter life but garbage made from the oil they produce.
Hmm, not to incite a conspiracy but it does make sense and makes you wonder.

I have always known that PETA hides behind a disguise of caring for the planet but when you back faux materials made from oil all you have to do is ask "Are oil spills good for the animals?" PETA certainly seems to be in favor of risking many of those to get their fake furs in the stores. I guess the message is save a cow, save a mink but let the sea lions and shore birds die!!
Nice. Way to go Petards, you missed the big picture AGAIN!! Everything you do always has a cause and effect. Try to learn that you underfed vegan freaks.

Offensive e-card

 Offensive e-card
Originally uploaded by icemakk.
Well just when you thought PETA could not be more unfeeling for their own species they unleashed this offensive card about Santa getting run over by his reindeer and follow up with lies and misguided emotions...again.
PETA's crappy e-card

Christmas, despite all the commercialism, is still a time for kids. Whether you believe in God or nature I think we can agree we were NOT created to eat tofurky...which is some manmade, processed concoction of questionable nutritional value and void or any real taste.
If you have the need to make something taste like turkey then eat turkey you losers in denial!! Some cats and dogs are snatched by "bunchers" right out of their guardians' yards and sold to dissection companies, while others are drowned by the hundreds in barrels of water. Most people have no idea what happens to animals before they reach the dissection table, and it's time for that to change!"

Yes millions of animals are killed for dissection. Killed so people can learn about the inner workings of said animals and go on to be biologists, veterinarians etc. You know, people that HELP animals. Some of these animals died of natural causes or were put down as they were old and sick. At least their cadavors went to good use.

PETA's claim about "bunchers" seems a bit far fetched and they show no data to back it. With the number of pet owners doing bio-chips and ID tattoos on their pets I doubt the numbers are as high as PETA would love to mislead us with.
There is also no data to back up the mass drownings of these animals. How does one go about drowning a frog anyway?

Back when I was a kid in school I did dissection (or frog slicing as we called it in fun) in science class and I am grateful for it. I actually enjoyed it as it was very educational. I gained knowledge of the inside of animals that no picture book could teach me. I had "hands on" experience that was useful later in life when I took a First Aid course.

Its called learning and PETA seems to be against it. Why? It seems that their over emotionally charged brains can't seem to stomach the fact that some things die so some things can live on. Research helps us understand the way animals function. Dissection is one of the first steps. Would you want your car worked on by a mechanic that had never touched the inside of an engine? Would you want your pet treated by a vet that had never seen the inside of an animal? I think not.

It is not like science classes are using endangered species for dissection but who knows, maybe one of the students will go on to be the next biologist that helps save a species from extinction because they wanted to learn more. It starts in the labs of school. Take that away and all the kids will soon look like the dunce in the picture, clueless to their surroundings that they think they are saving.

I am not saying that all students will become veterinarians and/or biologists, but I do believe that everybody should have some basic understanding of the inside of a body. Since most animals (including humans) are laid out in basically the same pattern, cutting open a small animal helps us learn about the inner parts. Knowledge that may even be applied, that one day, it may even save a PETA member's life. I doubt that any supporter of PETA is going to care whether their surgeon gained knowledge of anantomy from dissection if it meant their own life. Then again, Petards tend to not value human life...even their own.

If you have a child in school that has been handed this PETA propaganda and told that cutting up animals is cruel please set them straight and put a stop to this nonsense. The animal is already dead...how is that cruel? The kids are learning. Yes it may be a bit gross but if you have seen (and touched) animal guts you may not be as squeamish when you need to do hep an injured person that has been in an accident.
You'll see the Petards crying like little sucky kids while a person with knowledge may help save someone until the paramedics get there. Then again, if they are wearing PETA gear you may not want to impose your "cruel" knowledge upon them and viloate their emotional principles. Your call.

Daryl Makk

Sorry Popeye PETA!!

 Bad bad spinach!!
Originally uploaded by icemakk.
Well the news this week has informed us that all spinach has been recalled from the shelves. Yes that green, leafy vegetable apparently can kill you!!
A recent E. coli O157:H7 outbreak has killed at least one person and over a hundred other cases have been reported.
A quote from FDA news:
"E. coli O157:H7 causes diarrhea, often with bloody stools. Although most healthy adults can recover completely within a week, some people can develop a form of kidney failure called Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (HUS). HUS is most likely to occur in young children and the elderly. The condition can lead to serious kidney damage and even death."
Not a pretty sight and not one that PETA and the vegan-ites wish to keep in the public's mind.

Now I don't wish to make light of those who suffered nor do I wish to tell people that spinach is bad. Normally it is very healthy and makes a nice side dish to steak, seafood etc.
I like it myself yet was not able to order it today at my local restaurant as none is available until they determine the outbreak source.

What I do find interesting is PETA's quiet stance on this. I am on their email list and have not seen any warnings or stories in their newsletters about the dangers of this tainted spinach.
Why?
Perhaps is because it upsets their anti-meat message and propaganda machine? They often cite the dangers of meat from the big meat plants that slaughter animals, in bulk, for food with assembly-line fashion. They tell us how bad it is for us and on and on.
Well many of the non-meat products are also massed produced.

News flash: Anything processed in mass quantities has the potential to become tainted on a mass scale!! Yes, even your precious veggies PETA.

I often read their rants that if you could see inside a meat packing plant it would turn you off of eating meat. Tell you what, go inside any veggie processing plant and see if you have a taste for that food item after. I bet you don't. I once went inside a potato processing plant and the stench and site of all those spuds being turned into food products turned me off potatoes for a month!

Instead of using the KFC and McDonald's method as their only example they could better direct their energies at big corporate food plants. Faceless giants that wish for us to be slaves to their food production.

I prefer to buy locally when I can. I search out free range animals that are not penned up and force fed. I also like to buy locally grown veggies to go alongside that meat.
Now granted, in this rat race world that we live in and given the seasonal changes it is not always possible to buy local. Even for PETA.

Mankind has lost its ability for the general populace to know how to produce their own food, be it through hunting, fishing, small scale farming or vegetable growing. It is the way the big faceless food giants want it.
So instead of trying to scare us all into a Vitamin B12 deficient diet of a vegan, why not try to teach folks how to be more self sufficient. To support local ranchers and growers or better yet, to do it yourself?

Being a vegan is not a sure fire way of staying healthy. Just ask the 100's who have suffered from this latest outbreak of bad mass production or the gaunt, skinny ones that have denied their bodies a full diet that an omnivore needs.
Then again being an omnivore is not a surefire way either. Eating in moderation, exercise and eating natural foods will help. Again, it is no guarantee...you could get hit by a truck....hauling veggies!!

DM

Fake ID = Fake message

 fake ID
Originally uploaded by icemakk.
It seems that any time I get a really really stupid or insulting comment on my PETA and other idiots video it almost always seems to be from some punk with a profile that says they are 14. This age number comes up a lot.
When I get some ignorant hate mail that resorts to name calling and I return the insults they always play the age card. Whiney little types that say "You think its cool to pick on teens?" or "How can you say that to a 14 year old?"
Again, it almost always seems to be 14. Why? Is PETA so desperate that they are hiding behind false profiles of youth to spread their hate, lies and propoganda? Or have they fooled so many dumb kids, raised on video games, that they no longer think for themselves? I believe it is the former.
The most recent one is this punk kid (or alleged punk kid) that calls themselves Yugisora.
In the fake ID profile they state they are a vegetarian baby and all about animal rights. Fairly lofty ideals for a 14 year old. I just wanted to play outside and enjoy life at 14, not be a misguided activist.
Then again it could be some brainwashed follower of the Petard regime that does not know better.
To all my blog readers please visit this fake 14 year old profile and let them know they are on the wrong path.
Also take time to vote on my video above and rate it. The Petards tend to do mass hits on videos and rate them down.
Cheers

Daryl Makk
www.darylmakk.com

Can vegans read and write? I tend to get along with alot of people but some exeptions like people who disrespect PETA or vegetarianism."
Still not sure where the alan and obsessed part come in, but a fan of PETA rarely makes sense.
His first post on my video was a poorly written one saying "hahaha... not that was the most dishumored and retarded thing iv ever seen".
If you can make sense of that I'd worry about you. Spelling errors, misuse of verbs and tense. Yes, being a vegan really helps the old brain doesn't it?
After a few people take some shots at him for being the wingnut he is the only argument he comes back with is "You're retarded." Well at least he got that short sentence right even though it is lame. I guess I should cut the kid some slack, he is a malnourished 14 year old on a vegan diet so perhaps his mind is underdeveloped.
This is another example of the brain washing that PETA does to kids. Messes them up with emotions and twisted facts to create the army of petards of tomorrow. Its a sad world we live in. They lack adequate space to move around, and they are deprived of water, shade, and medical care in times of injury and illness".

ON the surface it seems like a noble thing to do. Something regular Joe Blow citizen would be happy to dish out his hard earned bucks for and perhaps be conned into giving it to PeTA. Save your money folks. PeTA destroys more animals each year than the SPCA. Also, look at the pic. Is that not a pit bull? The same breed that PeTA wants eliminated? Interesting isn't it. They find a picture of an abused dog to scam money from you knowing full well that it is a breed they are trying to eliminate. PeTA is behind all anti pitbull laws so why use this photo? Because it is sensational and heartwrenching and will get more suckers to send them their hard earned dollars.

For the record I don't think pitbulls are evil. It is the owners that make them that way. I have met vicious pit bulls and very friendly ones, almost sucky friendly. Why blame the breed? The most vicious dog I ever met was a black lab that had been trained to be a guard dog. Labs are usually one of the most friendly, easy going breeds but this one had been made to be ugly. To top it off its name was Mandy!! Cute.
So folks before you send your hard earned cash to these scam artists ask them EXACTLY what they will do with the money. Ask them how many animals they put down each year and then ask them if they will save any pitbulls with their program.

Daryl Makk

Denial and hypocrisy...template for a petard!

I am on a camping trip with my sons right now in beautiful British Columbia. The campground just happens to have wireless internet so I grabbed a coffee and logged on. I opened my mail and found the latest piece of denial and hypocrisy...I mean..the PeTA newsletter and there was a section about...CAMPING!! I had to read it and almost snorted coffee out my nose at some of the warm fuzzy bullshit in there. Here is the link if you wish to follow along.

camping section of the newsletter-click here

Now to be fair they did have some nice tips on being a repsonsible camper, clean up your trash, wear sunscreeen etc etc. Normal common sense stuff that unfortunately, some of the public has to be reminded of again and again. I will give them kudos on that part.

The thing that had me rolling my eyes and then rolling on the ground laughing, was their vegan recipes. This is where they pat themselves on the back for being vegan while torturing themselves with a gross diet of just plant stuff. Then they try to imitate the food they are denying themselve. There is a recipe for "chicken" kabobs with faux chicken. Hey, if it ain't poulty it ain't chicken. It is meatless kabobs that taste like meatless kabobs!! Stop kidding yourselves and trying to spread the denial. If you want something that tastes like meat then don't go pressing your soy and other crap into hot dogs, burgers and "chicken" kabobs. Pick a real diet and stop pretending. I eat meat and plants but don't feel the need to shape a steak into a cabbage and call it faux cabbage.

They also poo poo fishing. Sorry, but in a lake with a healthy poplation of fish that is a great way to have a free and healthy meal. They state: "it’s painful when fish are impaled, thrown, crushed, or mutilated while still alive."
Crushed? I don't remember every crushing a fish and most anglers are very careful when handling a fish whether it is for food or to be returned to the water. Fish mouths are not that full of nerve endings by the way, which is why it has been a preferred way of catching them.

They also mention that you can be an enviro friendly hiker with Ethical Wares non-leather hiking boot. Hmm, that would mean synthetics. Stuff like nylon, plastics, gortex and other man made materials that are usually derived from petroleum products, you know, OIL!! Yes they would rather risk more spills from tankers and have you wear a non-bio degradable boot than one made of leather.
I fail to see this as being cruelty free. I have never heard of a tanker spilling cows on a shore and wiping out an ecosystem!!
While some of these may be a great quality boots don't try and pretend they are enviro-freindly. No boot can claim that, even one with leather uppers.
It is all just another pile of emotional sand that they wish to stick their heads in when they wish to hide from the truth. Being vegan goes against what nature intended for us and it is not the way to save the planet. Leather is a byproduct of food. I have yet to see footwear made of left over plant parts other then hemp or cotton and we don't eat those anyway.

So I am off to continue my camping, wearing my synthetic sandals and my leather hiking boots. I will cook REAL chicken, with a nice salad on the side. I will have steak too and suddenly, I have an urge to go fishing!!

Cheers
Daryl Makk

Camping

I am off for a week of camping with my sons.
During this time we will:
1- burn wood in a campfire
2- fish and eat the fish
3- cook lots of meat that we brought with us
4- eat eggs
5- eat cheese and drink milk from cows.
6- laugh our asses off at petards and vegans who just don't get it. Note the important word; "release". Yes if you have a petard in your neighborhood they may be helping keep the pesky insect population flourishing. Mosquitos, house flys, ants. You name it, they let them back into the area to infest some more.
Now I don't know about you but when anything with more than 4 legs enters my house....it is the last thing they ever do. There is no shortages off insects and to allow them to continue to enter homes causes problems as they may lay eggs in your home and then you have hundreds even thousands of the little buggers.
In my area we have problems with (possible) disease carrying mosquitos. Soy what??

Soy. The miracle food of the vegan types. You know the ones, munching on plants convinced that this is the natural way to go to save the planet. Is soy really that great for the planet? Read on.

Soy production has overtaken logging and cattle ranching as the main source of Amazon rainforest destruction. In the past three years, nearly 27000 square miles of the Amazon have been destroyed, nearly three-quarters of it illegally. Much of the acreage was sold to soy producers, financed in large part by agribusiness giant Cargill, the largest privately owned company in the world. Brazil has become the world's leading exporter of soy; last year, the country produced more than 50 million tons of the protein-rich bean from an area approximately the size of the United Kingdom. In 2004, Brazil was in the top four global greenhouse-gas producers -- because of the smoke from burning trees. Brazilian activist Cayetano Scannavino Filao says that in the three years since Cargill opened a port in the city of Santarem, deforestation in the surrounding area has increased 511 percent. "We used to fight the loggers, but the loggers, they eat the Amazon in small bites, " he says. "The soy is eating the Amazon in big bites."
source of info

Here is a link to another article on soy
More news on the destructiveness of soy

I am not saying that soy is not a healthy food but when militant vegans and ARTs (Animal Rights Terrorists) try to convert so many to their vegan ways, it comes at a cost. All actions have a reaction. Soy is often touted as THE replacement for meat protein. Is it?
More on soy
I wonder how many wild animals are living in these new soy fields. Fields that are culitvated and plowed on a regular basis. I also wonder how many animals (besides cattle) can live in a grazing pasture? I bet the meat eaters win that one as being more enviro-friendly.

Now I have eaten soy products on many occasions, mostly in Japanese cuisine which I enjoy. I also had meat in the same meal. I firmly believe that humans are meant to have a balance of meat and plant foods to maintain a healty diet. This is why I despise extremist vegans and animal rights groups that try to force their warm fuzzy beliefs/diet by twisting facts. They want us to leave the poor defenceless animals alone. I hear that chant often leaving me to believe they chose their diet based on emotions and not facts. Sure the slaughter of an animal for food is not a pretty site. Not everyone can witness it or do it but it is necessary to provide us with a food. I wonder if these same softies can bear to witness a plow churn over an animal's underground den (with young) to make way for crops. Plants they are going to eat. It happens all the time.
All actions have a reaction.

Daryl Makk

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://thepetafile.blogspot.com/2006/08/vegan-soy-what.html' title='Vegan? The forum is an oasis of rational thought in the sea of PETA hypocrisy. If you are on myspace search for it and join up unless you are a petard. Your drivel and nonsense is not welcome there and will be shot down quickly.
One lady going by the screen name of Lorraine Renee wrote the following on a thread I started about this blog. She nailed the description of PETA so well I have posted it here. Enjoy.

from Lorraine Renee
They've practically turned PETA into a religion. It's like trying to tell a christian there's no God. Even if we could physically prove it, all they'd ever do is scream and yell and use five-year-old language.
--------------
Ten years later, once PETA has taken over the world:
--------------
Inside the Holy Church of PETA, the minister gives his sermon.
--------------

All hail PETA! .... Today, we will talk about the almighty word of fuzzyness and vegan hypocricy! Buy our stuff! That concludes Today's sermon.

And now for the collection basket and anal raping!

--------------
the crowd goes wild and proceeds to throw in all of their money.
--------------

No offense to the actual decent christians out there ^_^

PS.

Let's bomb peta.

0:)

Thanks Lorraine Renee for an amusing and accurate read.
Daryl Makk

Animals over people in war?

The leader of the extremist group PETA
Originally uploaded by icemakk.

This pic is of Ingrid Newkirk, head of PETA. From what I have gathered, she puts all animals ahead of people. Her comments and actions, over the years seem to reinforce this. How screwed up is that? Her own species must take a back seat to lesser creatures. Intresting eh?
Read this excerpt from one of PETA's latest news letters.
"With no end in sight to the violence in the Middle East, you might be shocked to learn that the Canadian government may be leaving some Canadians behind. That’s right—it appears that the Canadian government may be abandoning Canadian animal companions in war-torn Lebanon, possibly refusing citizens’ attempts to evacuate with their animals. Left behind, these animals could starve and die in the chaos. We need your help to urge Prime Minister Stephen Harper to ensure that animals are included in Canada’s evacuation provisions.

Can you see the concern for her fellow human beings? Can you see her lack of knowledge of the Canadian situation? Perhaps she is unaware that the Canadian military has had severe cutbacks in funding from the last 3 consecutive governments and can barely pull off the evacuation of its citizens due to lack of equipment. People are taking priority here, not pets and livestock.
Sorry, but if there is room for one more person....you can say goodbye to several cats and dogs.

If PETA is so concerned why don't they dig deep into their pockets, use the money they scammed from their supporters, and go and resucue the animals themselves?
This is a war and the people are the concern of any governing body first and foremost. If there is time/resources maybe then they can load a boat up with animals, send them on a long and stressful journey, pay for to quarantine them (once they arrive to ensure there are no diseases being brought back) and other feel good projects. I doubt it will happen as it would waste preciouos dollars that can be used to help the people.

I wonder if any PETA supporters are among those trapped in Lebanon? Would they try to send their animals ahead of themselves or would natural survival instincts kick in and would they just get on the boat, happy to be alive? A normal person would just get on the boat. A PETA suppoorter...I am not so sure about.

PETA tries to corrupt kids with more lies

 charlie
Originally uploaded by icemakk.
Well the petards have struck an new low...no surprise, they only shoot for lower. Their latest campaign is to target kids with greeting (??) cards saying a pile of lies about milk. Yes, milk. One of the staples in a child's diet to help `build strong healthy bones and teeth.
Check you the crap they have on them:
BS cards about milk

Using such lies as milk creates obesity, gas, phlegm, diabetes and zits!
Lets look at each lie seperately:

Obesity is caused by too much fat in ones diet followed by too little exercise. A kid can drink juice and eat nothing but chips and deep fried onion rings and get fat. Don't blame one food group for this. I drank almost a litre of milk a day growing up and those that have seen me can verify I have never been fat. I also have eaten meat all my life.

Gas. This is caused by improper digestion of foods, eating too quickly and not chewing properly. I don't think I have ever had a milk fart. Lots of bean farts but the petards don't want to mention that.

Phlegm. Yes a lactose intolerant person can get phlegm. These people should reduce dairy products in their diet but they are a minority in society and not the norm. Peanuts can kill certain people but PETA does not campaign against peanuts.

Diabetes. This is a body's inability to produce insulin and digest sugars. There are many reasons from genetics to poor diet (too many sweets and processed foods) that can cause this condition. Milk alone is not the culprit. I would agree that too much chocolate milk, laced with sugar, could be a catalyst but they don't specify that do they? Using their logic we could say that drinking and driving is caused by the type of automobile one drives. Petarded for sure.

Pimples. This is a skin condition that varies from person to person. In my family all my siblings fought against acne. My younger sister rarely drank milk. I drank a lot of it and almost never had pimples. Milk had nothing to do with it as it is a matter of different skin types.

So there you have it, more PETA lies cut to pieces.
I find it appalling that they direct marketing at young children. If what they were saying was true, it would be part of the curriculum. They use the same tactics of certain fast food chains, program them when they are young to follow a marketing plan. Lets hope the parents intervene and educate the kids before they end up skinny, guant and sickly from lack of protein and calicum.

Daryl Makk

Can I quote you on that??

I have been doing a bit more research of Petards and other nut balls humans who devalue their OWN lives and those of people in general over animals. Odd to think that the most advanced species on the planet could produce such idiots as an animal rights activist.
Now before the bunny huggers get all twisted about this let me state that I am against animal cruelty. That being said I do believe animals are there for us to use for food, labor or companionship as long as they are treated humanely. ie: proper food, medical treatment, shelter if necessary and so on and when harvested done so in a humane and quick way.
I could never put the life of an animal above that of human. It is just not right.
Why am I saying this? Here are a few quotes from known activists. You be the judge if they are a bit loopy. My smart ass comments are in brackets.

"We feel that animals have the same rights as retarded children."
-Alex Pacheco, Director, PETA, New York Times, January 14, 1989.
(Those would be the same as any other human and go against common sense and the law of the land)

"The life of an ant and that of my child should be granted equal consideration."
-Michael W. Fox, Vice President, The Human Society of the United States, The Inhumane Society, New York, 1990.
(an ant? Are you kidding me? I kill all the ants that I can as they over-multiply and destroy property. We are not running low on ants!! Give me your address Mr. Fox and I will drop off a ton of ants for you to compare to your child)

"Surely there will be some nonhuman animals whose lives, by any standards, are more valuable than the lives of some humans."
-Peter Singer, Animal Liberation: A New Ethic for Our Treatment of Animals, 2nd edition, 1990.
(Well they are more valuable than Peter Singer's life that's for sure!!)
-----
Now here are 7 Things You Didn't Know About PETA

1-PETA has stated repeatedly that their goal is "total animal liberation." This means no pets, no meat, no milk, no zoos, no circuses, no fishing, no leather, and no animal testing for lifesaving medicines.
(this is one thing they don't mention when they first try to scam you for donations!!)
2-PETA has given tens of thousands of dollars to convicted arsonists and other violent criminals.
(birds of a feather....)
3-PETA funds the misnamed Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine 3, an animal-rights organization that presents itself as an unbiased source for nutritional information and has links to a violent animal-rights group called SHAC.
(an outrage to all REAL physicians!!)
4-PETA has used their contributors’ tax-exempt donations to fund the North American Earth Liberation front, an FBI-certified “domestic terrorist” group responsible for fire bombs and death threats.
(that one says it all!! PETA= People of Excessive Terrorist Actions)
5-PETA regularly targets kids as early as elementary school with anti-meat and anti-milk propaganda.
(brainwashing at an early age. The method of extremists who, deep down, know they are wrong. Don't evil fast food companies also use these same tactics to sell their crap?)
6-PETA spends less than one percent of its $13 million budget actually caring for animals.
(I guess all those signs, fancy offices and glossy brochures took priority!)
7-PETA has repeatedly attacked groups like the March of Dimes, the Pediatric AIDS Foundation, and the American Cancer Society, for conducting animal testing to find cures for birth defects and life-threatening diseases.
(Hmm, I wonder how many of the PETA people are going to continue such attacks when they need the medicines themselves?)

So folks, buy QUALITY MEAT, cook it right and enjoy it guilt free. Don't allow animals to suffer but don't get swayed by a bunch of malnourished, hand-wringing, bed wetting animal rights vegans freaks that don't understand how misguided they really are.

Makk

So which is it??

I received my PETA newsletter today. Yes, I am on their mailing list as I like to know what these nuts are up to. They have their celebrity spokespeople that support them. One of the most laughable has to be Pamela Anderson who seems to be mostly synthetic herself. Fake blonde hair, fake boobs, fake lips and she wants to tell us how to live naturally and healthy?? Sorry Pammy, after seeing what you did to your body your opinion is worthless.

In the newsletter they describe all sorts of disgusting conditions of feedlots and factory farms. They describe animals crammed into tiny areas. They then go on to mention that in the USA 80% of the land is used for raising animals for food. Either these feedlots are everywhere and we can't see them or there are a lot of animals that are free range and enjoing pastures.
80% is a lot of land! So which is it? Are there really that many crammed feed lots or are there animals walking about with room or are you making this stuff up? I have driven over much of the US and Canada and I don't see 80% of the land being used for raising animals. 80?!?! Talk about skewing data to push an emotional cause.

I am not about to say that the crammed feedlots and force feeding factories don't exist, because they do. Most of them are for the fast food industry. Profit greedy companies that need to get their crappy meals to an obese public as quickly as possible. I don't eat fast food. It is not normal meat in my opinion. For more on that read the book "Fast food nation" by Eric Schlosser.
Fast food nation
It is a real eyeopener and should cure many of you from every wanting to eat a 99 cent burger again.
I try to buy my meat from a local butcher or stores that carry good old Alberta beef and I encourage anyone wishing too eat meat to buy from small local butchers and not the big chains. On the road I try to support the small mom and pop diners instead of the big chains as the quality is usually better.

The thing that really pisses me off about PETA is they use the fast food examples to make it sound like ALL food animals are raised this way and that is just not true. There are also different grades of meat and I am sorry but McD's is not the same as the steaks I buy. They cite meat as being linked to heart disease blah blah blah. Yes it can be if one over indulges, has no vegetables in their diet and fries most of their food. It is called moderation and is something we all should practice. Many things can be linked to other events if you dig deep enough. The problem with statistics is they can be twisted in many ways to make a point.

It boils down to freedom of choice. I don't care if anyone wants to go vegan just don't push it on me and don't try to give me the guilt trip 'cause it ain't going to work. I like meat/fish and I am healthy. Some of the most hard core vegans are some of the most sickly looking people I have seen. What really cracks me up is the ones that go vegan for health but also smoke. Well done!!

Makk

You have hate mail!!!

Here is a small sample of the hate mail over the past week.

from tamimoser90@msn.com
Look, I agree with you somewhat. PETA can go way over the top sometimes (like getting pissed off over killing a bee), but at the core, their intentions are good. So I'll agree to disagree with you. Just so long as you cut PETA out of your routines.

T.Moser

Makk's response:
...Dear "initial" T
I have read up on your terrorist group and their bullshit.
I think this video from Penn and Teller tells it best
Penn and Teller video
You people kill more animals than you let the world know.
Hope that helps. You must learn to turn off your emotions. Animals die so others can eat. It is called the food chain.....

Daryl Makk
--------------
From rainingblackrosesandblood@yahoo.com aka Samantha Craphead
dear grotesque cave man,
You must have a really small dick to so narrow mindedly poke fun at everyone who isn't exactly like you. Hidden agenda, huh? what might petas be? save animals, who CAN FEEL pain just like you and me? GEEZ!!! who could ever imagine that? going above and beyond the archaic practices of murdering an animal and eating it, humans have evolved over time but i guess your brain didn't get the memo! I could deal with your making fun of vegetarians, vegans, peta, everything, but when you say your not even afraid of offending vegetarians, you crossed the line. I think you should seriously concider therapy. I bet you also beleive anyone that isn't a white male shouldn't be aloud to vote, and people of african decent and women should be concidered property.

Makk's reply:
Hey underfed one.
You should eat some meat so that your spelling and grammar improve. I guess your emotionally charged diet is taking its toll.
I also see that you are narrow minded by assuming that non-vegans are racist?
You are the one that needs to evolve.

Daryl Makk
-------------

Vegans save world hunger?? Puh-leeze!!

This is one of the more polite emails I got from a vegan that does not get my comedy. I have edited non-essential parts to get to the crux of the message and reply.

from Screaming_Lies@msn.com aka Julie Kehm
I understand that your job is a Comedian & you want to make people laugh. But when you did the show & you were talking about Vegetarians and PETA, that wasn't funny. It was not only offensive, it was somewhat rude too. ... Vegetarians are not weak. Yeah, we get emotional. Its ridiculous and inhumane what people do to animals, also completely un-necessary. Vegetarianism & Veganism could stop world hunger, less people would be fat/obese, people would just be healthy overall. .... you don't really know what your talking about. But that’s ok, I guess. Hah.

Makk's response:
Thanks for watching my comedy! .... Not everyone will find my bits hilarious but the majority of the public do. .....It is the nature of the business. I know of very successful comics that I don't find funny but they have their fan base. Like music, there are different types of comedy.

What is offensive to me is preachy vegans that wish to convert all to their chosen diet which is why I wrote the bit. Sorry to say, I tried Vegetarianism once and it was not for me. I was constantly hungry and felt lethargic. Now I eat vegan then I follow it with some steak or chicken. To me, and most of the world, that is a complete meal. Some people can tolerate more meat than others.
... there are some horrible slaughter house methods out there but the culprits are the fast food industry and their low grade crap they pawn off as food. I don't consume that and I also make fun of them. I buy local when possible and try to keep to free range animals or wild game (when available).
....Please don't try to push it (Veganism ) on others as I find that as offensive as religious types that push their ways.

Vegetarianism and Veganism cannot stop world hunger. That is a warm fuzzy belief system that vegans cling to. Politics is what has caused world hunger by the improper distribution of wealth and energy. Corrupt governments that wish to control the world's wealth and energy have been the cause of whole nations starving. Your efforts would be better spent on changing your government and those of other greedy nations. That will do more than salads and tofu ever could.
Cheers

Daryl Makk

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://thepetafile.blogspot.com/2006/07/vegans-save-world-hunger-puh-leeze.html' title='Vegans save world hunger?? I decided to create it when a whole bunch of vegan/animal rights types got their tofu all in a knot just because I had a 5 minute video clip online slamming PETA and in-your-face vegetarians. Rather than just ignoring the comedy (which they did not get) a group of them decided to mass email me with hate mail, death threats and other personal insults as well as false data to back their claims. They tried to convince me I was killing myself because I eat meat. The usual scare tactic is to quote selected data about the fast food industry and their shitty quality of meat and present that as the gospel truth for all meats. Sorry Petards, I don't eat fast food. I prefer free range animals of quality or wild game when I can get it.

I believe that no one should be made to feel guilty if they consume meat. Animal rights types and militant vegans seem to be driven by emotion when it comes to eating other animals. They want to symbolically remove themselves from that part of the food chain, by being vegan, which I would be okay with. More steak for me!!
However, they also wish to brainwash others into their warm fuzzy feel good cult. Sorry, but I don't buy into that.

News flash! Meat is food. Things die so other things can live. It has been that way for all of time and no bed-wetting, over zealous, liberal, mushy activist thinking can change that. You wish to graze on plants? Fine. Do it. Just don't try to use false information, lies and guilt to make others follow along.

Starting tomorrow I will be posting some of the ridiculous hate mail from these plant eaters and my responses to them.

The video clip link can be sent to those that email me.
Cheers
Daryl Makk
